How to Ride LMTA

Is fear of the unknown keeping you from riding LMTA? Here's everything you need to know to ride as if you've been doing it all your life.

GIVE US A CALL.

Start your trip by calling our friendly dispatch service agents at (231) 845-6218. They will answer all your questions and send a driver to pick you up at your curb.

We do our best to deliver the best possible on-time performance. However, it does take time for our drivers to make it to your location. When possible, we recommend planning ahead 30-45 minutes to allow our drivers sufficient time to pick you up and get you on your way.

For our early morning riders, we recommend that you call to schedule your ride the night before. This will help us to plan accordingly to get you to your destination on time.

BOARDING.

Passangers board the bus on the front passenger side. If you require special assistance during the boarding process, please let our dispatch agents know when calling to schedule your ride. They will coordinate with our drivers to make appropriate accommodations prior to arriving at your curb.

To expidite your boarding process, have your fare or tokens ready. Our drivers will collect your fare and wait for you to get situated before they continue on to their next stop.

PAYMENT OPTIONS.

You may pay for your ride either with cash or tokens.

Any person who wishes to take advantage of our reduced fare rates must fill out a Reduced Fare Application. Click to download the Reduced Fare Application Form.

LMTA is proud to offer an abundance of space and seating to our riders. To ensure your safety, we ask that you stay seated for the duration of your ride. For riders in the front rows, we recommend buckling your seat belt while the bus is enroute. Your safety is our priority.

To help us keep our fleet clean and pleasant for all of our riders, we ask that you refrain from the following activities while on board:

Eating
Drinking
Smoking
Listening to Music (Headphones are acceptable)

As you approach your final destination, we ask that you remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
